This is my tattoo I got from Tat-Fu Tattoo in Flagstaff Arizona done by Nick Lawrence, one of the coolest fucking guys I have ever had the pleasure to chat with for hours on end. The artists in this shop are phenomenal and have probably the best shop in AZ. The tattoo, depicts a sun that is burning out while at the same time shooting out mass coronal ejections (or solar flares) representing my relationship with my dad. Even though it feels like over the years it’s been dying out, there are still bursts of light trying to keep it lit. The sun is surrounded by the colorful nebula space gasses which hold no extra meaning, but really make the whole tattoo pop.
